Take intensive English courses at Penn State. The Intensive English Communication Program (IECP) at Penn State offers a comprehensive set of courses in written and spoken English to prepare students for future admission to a U.S. university. Qualified students may receive certification of language proficiency from the IECP to begin bachelor’s level studies at Penn State, upon successful completion of certificate requirements. Take local test preparation classes. The Mid-State Literacy Council, located in downtown State College, offers language test preparation courses to interested community members. Information about course schedules and fees is available on the Mid-State Literacy Council’s website.

Take local English conversation classes. International students may also register for conversation courses offered by the Mid-State Literacy Council, located in downtown State College.
